Delighted to say my prizewinning story Keel is now available to read online in issue 38 of Impspired Magazine. The physical book version of the collection of wonderful stories and poetry will be published in January 2027.
There’s some lovely work in the issue so grab and cuppa, shut off the world (although to be fair, I’ve been enjoying watching the news this morning, go mid-terms!) and delve in.
Thanks again to the judges for selecting my story. It’s lovely to be able to share my work. And well done to the fellow writers in the issue, amazing contributions.

I’m a novelist and award-winning documentary filmmaker. My debut novel, 'The Birds That Never Flew', was shortlisted for the Dundee International Book Prize and longlisted for the Polari First Book Prize. 'Almost Then', my second novel, was published by Linen Press in April 2021. I write, produce and direct documentary films and won Royal Television Society Scotland awards in 2015 with 'Jock Stein' and for 'Jim Baxter' in 2016. 'Tommy Burns’ won a Royal Television Society award in 2019 and 'The Women Who Built Glasgow City' won the same award in 2021. I have a PhD in Film and Media from the University of Stirling. I made two children who are now making children too. That's the biggest achievement of all. I live in Glasgow, Scotland and Rathlin Island, Ireland.
