It all started with a tweet. The fabulous writer Kerry Hudson initiated a conversation on Twitter asking if any female writers or professionals in the industry would be interested in offering free mentoring to talented up and coming female writers who would otherwise find it difficult to access similar opportunities.

I replied, absolutely, of course, who doesn’t need support when they are writing! A plethora of others replied positively too and with break-neck speed and determination and creativity in abundance (thanks to Kerry) the Womentoring Project was born.

It’s a fabulous initiative and I’m really proud to be one of it’s Mentors.

And good news, the project has already delivered its first book deal – HarperCollins imprint the Borough Press has signed Joanna Cannon’s ‘The Problem with Goats and Sheep’ after publisher Katie Espiner mentored the author through the WoMentoring programme.

Pretty amazing eh!

I’m mentoring at the moment but if you’re interested in working with me keep your eye on the website for when I have availability.
